Maro Ibarburu
Research Scientist IV Egg Industry Center
Maro Ibarburu has been working for the Egg Industry Center since June 2009, a center located at Iowa State University in the United States. His main responsibilities are to provide statistical data, do cost of production and market analysis for the egg sector and participate in research related to egg production.
Maro received his master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of lowa in 2005 and worked as a researcher in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of lowa from 2005 to 2009, doing research on beef cattle and swine production and markets.
Previously, he received his agronomist degree from the University of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in 1999, and worked for 4 years managing the family farm where beef cattle, sheep and crops are produced.
José Eduardo Dos Santos
José Eduardo dos Santos will be the Technical Director for egg production, layer rearing and rearing at LPN Congress 2023.
The specialist has a post-graduate degree in management and project development from UniFtec. He is also a technician in Administration and Information Technology, with special focus on the production and laying market, and Technical Director of egg production, rearing/ rearing.
Currently, he participates in different organizations focused on the Brazilian and international market of laying:
Member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein.
Member of the Board of Directors of Fiergs Agroindústria
Member of the Board of Fundesa RS
Coordinator of the Alternative Egg Production Systems Certification Program.
Official delegate of the International Egg Commission and the World Egg Industry and Production Organisation.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that the expert gave a presentation on “Practical benefits of extensive experience in IV layers” during the LPN Congress 2018.
Dos Santos also presented an overview of the entire Brazilian poultry industry and the roles and responsibilities of ASGAV, the Poultry Association of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. See below for a short excerpt of the lecture:
In our participation in the LPN Congress, we will present some promotional actions, campaigns to encourage egg consumption in the summer, support for athletes, dynamic and creative videos of recipes with eggs, scope of our actions, difficulties, challenges and results, and other creative activities to increase egg consumption in Brazil.
In this way, José Eduardo dos Santos is the ideal candidate to expose the new challenges and innovations that are accompanying the current start-up market.
