Poultry farming is a very important economic activity in Latin America. In the region, the production of poultry for meat and eggs has experienced significant growth in recent decades, thanks to its high profitability and demand in both the local and global markets.
It is worth highlighting the role of Brazil, which is the leader in poultry production in the region, followed by Mexico and Argentina. These three countries account for nearly 80% of the total poultry production in Latin America. However, other countries such as Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Ecuador have also experienced significant growth in this sector in recent years.
